Witness is a frantic confronting song.

It is about a suicide completed at a level railway crossing through the eyes of a person waiting at the boom gates and the driver of the train.

I wrote the concept for Witness after reading a story of a palliative care nurse who witnessed a suicide, and even though she dealt with death on a regular basis, she was deeply traumatised by the event.

I was also thinking about the many many other people who are impacted through a death by suicide - a train driver for example.

How do you wish away that day at work?
Would your life ever be the same?

I pitched the concept to MC MJD and Hendo and the rest, as they say, is history.
